The summer sun has turned a lonely lookout into a furnace, and George pushes himself to the limits of his physical and mental endurance. In a world of repetitive drills and petty military hierarchies, every drop of sweat becomes a form of meditation — or a distraction from a mounting existential angst.

As George awaits the scheduled assault, his surroundings begin to shift. The dusty landscape of the camp is transported to the streets of “The City,” a surreal metropolis besieged by unseen enemies. When a routine inspection by a cadet goes awry due to his own anxiety, the pressure eventually causes a rupture. What begins as a battle against the elements transforms into a violent, internal war for survival. An exploration of the human psyche and the brutal mechanisms we use to endure.
